The SCVBAC Master Plan includes:

• Multi-Use Lanes

MULTI-USE LANES URGENTLY NEEDED FOR SAFETY

• New lanes needed now for safety of all users of the road including motorists, bicyclists, golf carts, and pedestrians

MULTI-USE LANES NEEDED FOR CONNECTIVITY

• Existing multi-use lanes need to be connected for safety and enhanced bicycling enjoyment in a bicycle friendly community

MULTI-USE LANES NEEDED FOR FUTURE GROWTH

• Lanes needed in the future to maintain a high quality of life as population, traffic, and congestion increases

• Status (January,2007) --- Grant awarded.  Kickoff meeting held December 14.  Construction planned for summer 2008.
• Continental Road/I-19 Bicycle and Pedestrian Enhancement Project

• Status (January, 2007) --- Grant awarded.  Consultant has been identified.  Kickoff meeting planned for March, 2007.
• Esperanza Boulevard/I-19 Bicycle and Pedestrian Enhancement Project
 (620 KB pdf)
• Status (January, 2007) --- Grant application submitted by PCDOT and endorsed by ADOT. Grant not awarded but we will continue to pursue this project.
• RTA Projects

 
• Sahuarita Rd, Kolb Rd, and Old Nogales Hwy projects received top priority recommendations at the June review by the Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee
